What to edit with?

When ever someone post a MSP edit they are bound to get the "what do you edit with" comment. To me this can be annoying because I have that information in my bio. To some it's annoying because ...well I'm not sure... But they will always reply with something along the lines of "that's none of your business" as if what they edit with is the holy grail that only they use and know about xD Whatever the reason, its best not to pester them. If they want to keep it a secret, let them :]

Anyways, I wanted to make this blog to tell you guys about some app/websites that you can use to make msp edits with! I have no tried all of these myself, but they ones I have, I will try to write a little review of to help you guys decide what editing software is right for you!

I'll be expanding on this list as I find new apps to try.

I only make edits on my computer (now) so that's where I'm going to start. The program I use is called Gimp. Its a free photo manipulation software. Its kind of like a free Photoshop except its not meant to create drawings with. If you really work with it you can make some really cool looking art with it, but its really not made for that :) I have heard someone people saying they got a virus after installing Gimp so please make sure you have a good virus detection software on your computer and only download from the official site.
I have made a couple videos of me using it but none with me really explaining what I'm doing yet. When I make that video I i'll post it here!

Next up is Photoshop! I have no used this program in ages but if you already own it you should 100% be using it to make edits. You really aren't going to get anything better then this.Unless you are made of money I would not go out and buy Photoshop just to make MSP edits. At the time writing this it cost over 300 dollars but you can get it at a discount if you are a student. You can also "rent" it for a monthly fee.

Next up is a website that a lot of people use but I just cannot. Its pixlr.com/. I have tried to use it a couple times and it just frustrates me to no end. There is a very step learning curve when it comes to this website... And maybe calling it that is giving this website to much credit. The controls are wonky and there's no official guide (that I found) that tells you how to do everything. The website is free to use and if you have a few hours (and a lot more patience then i) you can check out this website. I will give it a bonus for not having to be downloaded so its good for people who share a computer/are not aloud to download things!

Now onto the apps.

The first app I used for editing was called Eraser for iOS, If you take your time you can make some decent edits with it. Its very difficult to remove all the background with it but if you take your time you can get rid of most of it. This app also lets you add a background to replace the one you got rid of. (free)

Next up is an app to add text to your edit, that's Phonto for iOS. Like I said before, its mostly for adding text to your images but it also has a few free filters in it as well, (free)

Editing tips:

Make sure your background is not the same color as your avatars clothes. Using a green background will be the best 99% of the time. A lot of apps have a way to get rid of/ replace a green screen automatically.

Only use high quality images of your avatar. It doesn't matter what you do, your edit will look sloppy/rushed if you use a low quality screen shot.

If you use any apps/programs that are not listen below please post them in the comments. Be sure to list what platform its for and its cost.

No Updates

I felt myself getting really sick over a week ago, but like usual, I ignored it. I went to stay at a friends house Sunday-Tuesday and, still I felt myself get worse and worse everyday I was there. One Tuesday my medicine stopped working and I have spend the last three days in bed.
I am use to headaches, as most of you know, but this was more then that. I got sick multiple times a day, my double vision was more noticeable. and I just felt wrong. Even at my worst, I haven't been like that since pre-surgery.
Most of my symptoms are gone now. I still have a crazy headache, and my ears keep popping, but like I said, i'm use to that. I can usually manage to function even with a killer headache.

Sorry for not updating the blog about the current MSP event. I honest do not think I will be, unless I can find it in me to focus and get it down. If you have questions, I can only help for the first two days at the moment, as those are the only ones I have recorded.
