MSP Animation challenge

I have been thinking of making a sort of series on Instagram where I make the animations irl. Last night though, I decided to make it a bit of a challenge to get my Instagram followers involved with it :]

Its only going to be a week long challenge- to be qualified to win a prize you have to post your self doing an animation within the theme every single day. If you post late you won't be counted. It must be a video format.

Day one is a love animation. Do any animation you think is cute or romantic. (usually in the heart)

Day two is creepy animation. Is there any animation that you find freaky? if so- it qualifies. No "oh I think romantic things are gross so i'll do that"- or anything like that. It will not be counted :] (usually in the alien)

Day three sporty animation. Do any animation in the sport section ( the soccer/football)

Day four fighting animation. Do any animation in the fighting section (the glove)

Day five animal pose. Do any animation in the animal section (the paw)

Day six acting animation. Do any animation in the acting section (the duel mask)

Day seven pose animation. Do any animation in the pose section.  (the person standing)

FAQ:

When does the days video need to be posted? 
Anytime from 12am to 11:59pm EST

What exactly do I need to do?
Find an animation that fits that days theme and make a video of you doing said animation. When you post it, tell us the name of the animation you are recreating and use the hashtag #MSPanimationsIRL. Thats it :D You can tell us why you choose that animation if you want to , but its 100% not necessary and will not get you any special points.

You must use the hashtag #MSPanimationsIRL on every post. You don't have to put my username anywhere. But if its not tagged- it doesn't count.

How is it judged?
I will mostly be going off of creativity and quality. But the number of likes:number of followers ratio will play a small role.

Prizes
USA users ONLY can win prizes this time around. Just make sure your username is clearly marked somewhere on your profile. The winner will get a couple items off their wishlist- auto spammed for a day- and if they are my friend on MSP they will get a greet (or two depending on how I feel that day)

Other things
If you want to go the extra mile- create a video that shows the animation you picked and you recreating the animation side by side

Like always- giving me things or whining about how you have a hard life and never win anything. will not increase your chances of winning. In fact- whining will get you disqualified. Just do the challenge- tell us what animation you are recreating, use the hashtag and move on :D

What if no one enters?
That's cool with me xD This is something I have been wanting to do for a while and if no one else wants to do it too, that's fine~ Means I don't have to spend my money on them ;)

Break

     I took a break from MSP recently. I was feeling really happy and I have finally gotten into a new routine so I didn't want that to be ruined. Not saying MSP is a bad place, but when you put a bunch of unsupervised kids together in one place things tend to get a bit dramatic. I want to start posting regularly again~

   

Week Three Beach Party Guide

Play in the Sand!

Find Three coconuts - One in the clothes shop, One is in the design studio and the last one is in a chat room. I found mine in the cafe chatroom.

Go to the Beauty Clinic and buy yourself a new tanned skin color - buy ANY color you want! It doesn't have to be a tan shade for this to go through. Again any skin color will work.

Make a Sandcastle inspired artbook - Save an artbook. It can even be blank.

Party Planning!

Buy an item for the Beach Party in the item shop - Like the other times you can buy any item in the item shop. It doesn't matter what it is,

Decorate your Party Room with your new purchase and save it - Drag the item into your party room and save by clicking the floppy disk on the right side of your room.

Invite a friend to your room - same process as inviting a person to the chat room like in the last part. They don't need to show up for it to go through.

Crazy Beach Party!

Join a game of crazy cards- in the game section of the map

Win a single round of crazy cards- be prepared for a long sit xD This is basically MSPs version of Cards Against Humanity- Just pick the card you think fits the category best or is the funniest but keep in mind the person judging thinks differently then you. So don't be upset if they pick a card you don't like.

Enter the Themes chat room  and say "Let's Go Crazy" - Have an item from this weeks theme to get it. You can say what ever you want. I usually just send a "."

Does VIP make the game more enjoyable?

     A question I was curious about when I first joined was "Does VIP make the MSP experience more enjoyable" I asked my baby sister and goddaughter and they both said "duh" but can really trust the opinion of a couple of seven year olds? (the answer is; usually. They may be young and although they may not be able to have a deep political conversation with you, their opinions are still valid)

     I wanted to test it myself. I'll start by saying I played for seven-eights months before I bought vip. I got to level 17/18 in those few months (I can't remember specifics, unfortunately) At first I bought a week with an old itunes card I found, then I bought a month more with an itunes cards I redeemed from a site I talked about in an old post. I got on everyday that I had VIP and played like I usually would. I pet room farmed, I played the quiz, I sat in chat room to creep on peoples conversations. For the most part, having VIP doesn't make a big difference to that game. The biggest difference was how I thought about the game. Being able to buy what ever you want and having zero restrictions at all on the site (besides the usual safe chat...which I will talk about in a later blog) can make you feel like your more important. It makes you feel like you have more power then others (aka people who aren't vip)

     This can be a dangerous feeling. I'm an older person so I don't think it was something that was noticeable to other people, but if I was a few years younger it could have turned me into a tirent. I think its something we see all the time. People put themselves in a place of power, others let them. They create whole teams just to push this one person higher and higher on the high score list and they hate on people who don't want to do the same.  They get into a disagreement with someone and suddenly that other persons guestbook is filled with death threats. They think they are a real life celebrity and that others should worship the ground they walk on. And so and so forth. I could go on for hours but I think you all understand what I'm talking about.

     A thing I notice people (and people with VIP usually more often) complaining about it begging. Personally I didn't notice an increase in the amount of begging, it was just a different kind. I got people asking me to buy them VIP and to give them greets when I usually just got the "buy me all my stuff off my wish list" or "gifts for mail time" type.

     All in all I would say, having VIP can make the game easier. If its more enjoyable or not is all up to your personality! If you spend a lot of time on MSP, and its like a form on social media to you, I would totally recommend trying out VIP. Just, try not to let it go to your head :D

p.s. I'm not saying teams are bad or that its bad to help someone level up. Its just it can create a power trip in people, we see it all the time. Having a group of people that will attack anyone who doesn't kiss your butt can be a huge ego booster, can give you an inflated or false sense of self. It can cause you to think you matter more then everyone else, which obviously isn't the case.

Teams can also be a good thing. Having a place where you can hang out and talk to like minded people can make you feel more at peace. It can be nice to declare yourself a part of a team and suddenly you have a big group of "friends" you didn't have before.

But, if you've been a member of msp for any amount of times you know teams are more likely to turn into the former then the latter.

MSP Rules

     I know a lot of you don't realize it, but when you sign up for MSP you are legally bound to their rules. I'm bringing this up because seeing people screaming at/ attacking MSP for locking their account is getting old. Remember, it doesn't matter how many times you get away with breaking a rule. You've still broken one, and you will be warned or locked out eventually.

Rules on MovieStarPlanet (What not to do)

Don't share your password and don't ask another user for their password. MovieStarPlanet never asks users for their password and users should never write their MovieStarPlanet password in any forum, either in game or outside of the website.

Don't provide user details on the promise of a free VIP membership or StarCoins. Nobody can give you free VIP membership or StarCoins. [meaning, if you want to give accounts away, don't talk about it on site. Usually people won't report you for it, but you can't expect them to never say anything]

Don't reveal personal information (such as real name, email, phone number, age, address, name of school, or user names of Facebook, Skype, MSN etc.) [saying "who has kik, skype...ext will get you a warning/locked. It doesn't matter if you spell it differently and it doesn't matter how many times you've said it before without warning.]

Don't write things that are sexually suggestive or racist.

Don't select a username that refers to gender issues or sexuality, and don't use your real name as your username.

Don't harass or annoy other users or beg for items. [asking for gifts for mail time counts as this. Messaging people multiple times in a row also counts]

Don't use offensive language. Abusive behavior is not allowed.

Don't pretend to be or impersonate a staff member/moderator of MSP. A real moderator can be identified by a moderator badge, which will be displayed at all times.

Don't break any copyright laws. [ie- posting photos that don't belong to you, or are not of you]

Don't send chain letters. Don't copy/paste chain letters. [no "repost this in five minutes or your mom will die" type post]

Don't talk about how to cheat and don't use cheats to progress in the game. [Asking people how to get glitched rares]

Don't try to steal or trick items from other users. We delete users who steal. [aka, you scam someone your account is gone]

We encourage everyone to always be kind and respectful and to report all content or behaviour that appears to be inappropriate, suspicious or abusive. MovieStarPlanet is all about being creative and social - this is how you move up in the game.

What happens if I break the rules?

If a player breaks the rules, they will get a warning first. However, if unacceptable behavior continues, players will be locked out of using the MovieStarPlanet game for various lengths of time depending on the severity of the infringement. Time locks range from five minutes up to seven days and in serious circumstances can be permanent. These blocks can be applied to all users. If a VIP user is locked, no refund will be given. In serious cases, MovieStarPlanet has the right to block the computer IP address as well as the user account. This means that no one can access MovieStarPlanet from that computer.

Note on Phishing

Always beware of phishing on the Internet. Phishing is when someone pretends to be an official authority, for instance a staff member of MovieStarPlanet, in order to make you reveal your password, real name or credit card information.

I love it

     I get called a hacker or cheater almost everyday when I play the quizzes xD Today I got called "evil" because I wouldn't let this girl win(I wasn't fast enough to get a screenshot though)~ Like. It would be one thing if she could keep up, I wouldn't mind throwing the quiz at the last moment to help in this situation, but she was getting almost every question wrong! I don't have time to sit in the same quiz all day long y'all. 

     ps. If I was a script kiddie or a "hacker" I would 100% not be wasting my time playing the games. I would make myself the top player or take over one of the top players accounts. ;)

Find five conches - Three on the shopping page the other two are in Movietown

Change clothes for hitting the waves - update your outfit. You don't have to actually change anything and it doesn't have to be beach inspired.

Write a surf inspired status update - Just update your status to anything you wish

Beach Party Games

Join a game of quiz - I think you know where it is xD Go to the game section, its the last one on the first line.

Win an entire game of Quiz - I'm someone who plays all the time, thats how  I got to the level i'm at~ There aren't that many questions so if you have trouble, just play a few rounds. After that you'll pretty much be an expert and never miss a question.

Share The Love!

Go to the item shop and buy a pet accessory for the Beach Bonnie - buy any item. There are some pretty cheap food items. 

I bought this

Visit five of your friends room and give them a "love" - Pretty self explanatory. Go into someones room and click the heart on the bottom of the room. 

Give Love to three pets - Go to peoples rooms and click their pet. This will also get you some money

Beach Party Designer! 

Go to Design studio and "Love" 6 designs -  When you click on a design in the studio it will say "love it!" under the creators information.

Create and save a beach party design- save any design. You don't have to buy it.

Give five autographs - will take a bit of time if you are non vip but its doable. I've done it for multiple accounts. It is a bit easier if you use the app though.

     My MSP is refusing to open my fame book (I don't remember how its called xD) everything else opens fine. I'm assuming it has something to do with the beach quest, as most websites experience code problems when they put out events :[

Messages

I'm really thankful for everyone on Instagram who messaged me after my emotion post last night. 

There's one thing you need to understand though. I will try and get to everyone's message eventually but I do have other things to do. I'm not someone who is attached at the hip to their phone. It unlikely that I will ever respond to you within an hour of you messaging me. If you need to talk to someone urgently there are a ton of resources online, and other people on MSP/Instagram/anywhere who are available 24/7. If you get angry with me about not responding you are only guaranteeing that I will not be reading your message. 

I want to try and help if I can, but you guys are not my number one priority. 

I have work, I have my own mental and physical health. My friends and family's mental and physical health. I'm not a therapist. I'm not a professional when its comes to mental health in any way shape or form. I see a therapist, so I can try and tell you things they have told me...but thats as much as I can give on that front. So while i'm thankful that you feel safe enough to message me, you need to do so knowing that it will take a while for me to get back at you. Also know, even if I have read your message, it may take a while for me to get back at you while I try and think of the right thing to say. You need to be delicate when talking about mental health and that's difficult to do when it comes to written language. I want to make sure you understand what i'm saying and don't misinterpret my words. Because I know how much it hurts when you spill your heart out and someone comes back to you with (what you read as) a snarky response. 

Thank you for those of you that understand that. I hope this didn't push you away from talking to me :] Even if you are someone who doesn't suffer from anything you can still try and chat with me, feel free to messages me complaining about the weather or how your mom is just such a jerk who like doesn't understand you at all (aka pretty much every message I posted on Myspace back in 2008)

Create and save a beach look- Just make a new look. It doesn't have to be beach related. 

Beach Party Inspiration!

Get inspired by watching three youtube videos- Pretty simple. Go to the youtube section and watch three videos. You only have to start them, you don't have to sit through three videos! 

Get inspired by five photos and give them a love- Have fun seeing all the arguments on the photos! xD But like the first this is pretty self explanitory. Go to the photos and like five of them. 

Write a Beach Party status update- Just update your status. It doesn't have to be about a beach party. 

Beach Party Dance!

Buy a beach outfit from the clothing shop- Buy anything from the shop. I always go and buy one of the 20 coin buttons. 

Go to the Beach chat room and say "lets party" - You can say anything you want and it will count.

Invite a friend to the beach chat room- Again pretty simple. If you have never done this before, when you are in a chatroom near the name of the room you are in there is an icon that looks like a trio of people. Click that and it will bring up a drop down menu of you friends (this can take a very long time to happen) when they show up click the icon near there name and your done! They don't have to actually show up for this to work.

Get inspired by five Beach Party Artbooks and give them a "Love"- Go Love any five artbooks. It doesn't matter what they are

Make a Beach Party Artbook- Make a artbook. Again, this doesn't have to be themed. It can literally just be a blank artbook and it will work.

Give Three autographs - To give an auto click on a person (or go to their profile) and there will be an icon that looks like a piece of paper. Click that and Bam! You've given your first auto xD If you are non vip you can only give one an hour. So keep that in mind. 

Meditation

     I am someone who has always had really intense anger management issues. When I was a teenager they were exacerbated by a growing brain tumor and since I had had most of it removed I have been a bit calmer, but no where near what I would consider normal. 

     I have been looking for a way to help me for a long time. I tried running, boxing, sports, taking up a multitude of hobbies, but nothing really worked for me. Then I started meditating. 

     I had avoided meditating for a long time because its something that was always brought up in the confines of religion, and I am not a religious or spiritual person. So I pushed it to the side. But recently I've seen a lot of people talking about it, people who, like me, are not religious in anyway, so I tried it. Within days I was feeling better. When something made me moderately angry, I was able to pull myself away from the situation and find what was actually the cause of my emotions. I was finding that things that would usually have me smashing things, would only make me feel a slight twinge of annoyance. 

     I wish someone had talked to me about it sooner. Someone had told me meditation really has nothing to do with religion or spirituality (unless you want it to, that is :D) I feel like high school would have gone a lot smother for me had I been doing this all along. 

     So if anyone reads this, I would like you to take a minute, close your eyes and just focus on your breathing. When ever your mind wonders, gently bring your focus back to your breath. When ever you start to feel any negative emotion, try to take a step back and focus on your breath. No one will notice you are doing it (unless you are like me and breath loudly)

     I personally find it helpful to listen to guided meditations as the brain surgery left it difficult for me to focus. At the moment I use an app called Smiling Mind. They have hours worth of free guided meditations, unlike other apps that have maybe one or two with the rest behind a pay wall. There are also a ton on youtube, but I find the ones there tend to be more faith based, so I don't personally find them helpful- but you might! So I welcome you to seek out as many as you can, don't give up just because the first thing you try didn't help. But know its not for everyone, and no one is going to be cured by mediation or feel better over night. I still see a therapist, I still take my medication, but this has been a great thing to add on. Even my therapist noticed it helping my anxiety in some areas. 


     I also like to meditate to ASMR videos at night to help my brain settle down, Heather Feather being on of my favorite asmrtist! (I make them too, but they are more for hobby right now as I do not have the equipment necessary for great sound  production)

How to create a proper short movie

     I have noticed a lot of people just slap the term SM onto anything that is just a few seconds long, but they haven’t created a SM that functions properly

.

     In order to create a proper short movie you need at least six actors moving in six frames. All six actors have to be moving in all the scenes. If you have done it properly you will get ~25 coins and 200 fame per view. You may get a bit less depending on how the person rated it (I believe). So if you are trying to get the max amount of fame from viewing a SM, take the amount of money they earned from the movies and divide it with the views, if it’s much less than 25 do not view! Well, you can, but you may not get the max amount of fame from viewing.

[If done properly this person would have made over half a million coins! That 19k doesn't 

look to impressive now does it xD]

Mail time

     I wish I was one of those people who could beg for gifts/autos/greets. Although its annoying as fudge to see or to have happen to you, it works. There are people who get 100+ gifts every "mailtime" they do.  But alas, even the thought of begging for things on MSP makes me feel a bit sick xD Maybe one day i'll make a side account and beg on it to see what happens
